Creatures, human and animal, large and even very tiny, flee from danger, and fight for survival from starvation and against other dangers. Many creatures nurture and protect their young, and often even risk their own lives to ensure their survival. All of this has a non-physical, spiritual dimension, which cannot be measured or weighed, and which is observable proof, before our very eyes (if only we would open them and see), of a spiritual world which must emanate from a Spiritual Source. Inanimate things are quite different, lack all of this, and cannot give rise to such wondrous behaviour. Ice offers no fight to heat which reduces it to water. Water offers no fight against cold which reduces it to ice, and no fight against heat which reduces it to vapour. A rock on which a tap drips offers no fight against being gradually worn away.
